St Mary's Graduate Drama Showcase

At Isleworth & Syon School, we always keep one eye on the future - encouraging students to consider their next steps and which pathways they may like to follow after school. This begins during Key Stage 3 and continues all the way to the Sixth Form, as part of our long-term careers strategy. To that end, we were excited to take the Year 12 drama & theatre cohort up to Soho for a special networking event.

We attended the drama graduate showcase for the local St Mary's University (Twickenham), taking place at Underbelly Boulevard Soho. Students watched numerous performances delivered by current final year students as well as networking with university course leaders and industry professionals! We were also delighted to meet up with three of our former A level drama students now studying at St Mary's, pictured above - it was brilliant to check in with Aidan, George and Anthony and find out how brilliantly they are doing with their drama-based undergraduate degrees. The former students had a great chat with our current students, talking about their experiences and giving some advice. The whole trip was real eye-opener for the students, one of whom commented afterwards, "It really helped me see the opportunities available at university if I choose to study drama."
