Year 12 Science Trip - London Zoo

The three sciences - biology, chemistry and physics - continue to be very popular subjects at A level in the Sixth Form. Indeed, students taking these subjects often end up at the best universities - recent years have included the University of Cambridge, Queen Mary (University of London) and Imperial College London.

Our current Year 12 groups are currently studying biodiversity and conservation. It seemed the natural step to take their learning beyond the textbooks and into the wider world - specifically, to London Zoo! During the trip, students could gather live examples of how diverse species adapt to their niche, as well as the consequences if they fail to adapt. Students completed a bespoke booklet during the trip, and returned to school pleased with their outcomes. Well done, everyone!
